How We’re Involved in Missions…

At Friendship Baptist we teach Jesus Christ’s Great Commission to “Go…and teach all nations.” Adults as well as children participate three ways in the goal of spreading the Gospel around the world: we pray, we give, and we go!

We Pray!
A vital part of our missions strategy is the prayer of our members.  We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and we believe that God hears and heeds our prayers. We make it a priority in our Church to pray for missions and missionaries including those we send from our Church.

We Give!
We give because we believe. We believe so strongly in missions that our members have sacrificed money to further our mission goals. We give through the Cooperative Program to support mission efforts in Alabama, through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the International Mission Board (IMB), and we give to support mission projects locally and globally.

We support Operation Christmas Child and pack boxes each year to share the gospel to children around the world.

We Go!
Our Pastor and his wife completed a four year partnership with Iglesia Bautista Emanuel and the International Mission Board (IMB) in planting a new church on “Cerro Alegre” (Happy Hill), one of the 42 hills around Valparaiso, Chile. They also participated for three years in Uganda working with Lulwanda Children’s Home. We are praying about future mission projects.

Watch Care!
We are the Watch Care Church, or church sponsor, for Life Church of Orange Beach, with its primary focus in Glen Lakes and Orange Beach areas of Baldwin County, Alabama.
