Our Mission at Friendship Baptist Church is to Love God, Serve Others and Share the Gospel. We envision a church that makes a difference through these three goals in our community, in our country and in our world.
Love God. We believe our greatest responsibility as believers is to love God. Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37 that the greatest commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Serve Others. We believe that we are called to serve, to put others before ourselves. In Matthew 20:26 Jesus teaches us that, “Whoever would be great among you must be your servant.”
Share the Gospel. We believe that Jesus’ life, death and resurrection are God’s greatest message to us. As a result, we believe that we have the responsibility to share that message with the rest of the world. Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
